Welcome to Troop 17 of Southington, Connecticut's Website

Troop 17 was chartered in 1960, and we welcome boys who are 11 years old about to enter

6th grade up to 18 years old. You don't need to have been a Cub Scout to become a Boy Scout.

Troop 17 meets weekly on Tuesday evenings at the First Baptist Church of Southington from 7:00 PM
to 8:30 PM, from September till June when there is school. We have an active Troop with camping
throughout the year, participation in the Apple Harvest and the annual food drive.

Scouts Start on Tuesday September 14th 2021!

The Holiday Camp Out is December 3-5th 2021

This year's food drive is bag drop off on Saturday November 6th and food pickup and boxing on Saturday November 13th. Last year (2020) our annual Scouting Food Drive was a success, we collected 15,173.17 pounds of food for Southington Bread for Life and The Southington Department of Social Services. This year (2021) we collected 18,729 pounds.
